As a follow up to a former workshop called Web 2.0 Führerschein for a customer in germany I had a workshop called Enterprise 2.0 Tools in Michigan, USA today. The slides I used:

One element of the agenda was a "Story: A virtual day in the life of a knowledge worker - guided tour through useful Web 2.0 tools and practices". This was the tour:

  1. Read news from different newspapers in Netvibes in the morning (Mashup)
  2. Read knowledge management weblogs in netvibes (Mashup)
  3. Check tasklist in netvibes (Widget)
  4. Check projects in Basecamp (Web Application)
  5. Read forum knowledge management in xing (Internet Forum)
  6. Check for new members interested in knowledge management in xing, add search agent in xing (Social Networking, Push vs. Pull)
  7. Create a knowledge map with Freemind with the workshop participants and upload it to MindMeister (Knowledge Map, Collaborative Mind Mapping)
  8. Search for information regarding the topic of the knowledge map in Wikipedia and A9 Opensearch and add the links to del.icio.us (Wiki, Mashup (Search Engine, Social Bookmarking, Tagging, Taxonomy, Folksonomy)
  9. Create a temporary wiki regarding the topic of the knowledge map in Wikispaces to collaboratively create content (Wiki)
  10. Create group regarding the topic of the knowledge map in Google Groups (Communitiy of Practice)
  11. Create collaborative search engine in Google Co-Op (Social Search)
  12. Create weblog that documents what has happend today on cogneon.de (this weblog) (Weblog)
